WHY PRESSED LITHIUM DISCILICATE VENNEERS

Many traditional milled veneers lack depth and natural vitality.
They’re often made using surface stains or flat, opaque color, which limits light transmission and creates a uniform, artificial appearance.

Smile Club Veneers are designed differently. Each one is pressed and layered to replicate the optical behavior of real enamel, resulting in a smile that looks natural in every light.

Traditional / Old Veneers:

• Surface stained and uniform in color.
• Flat, opaque appearance with limited translucency.
• Lacking natural detail and light behavior.
• Often appear lifeless or “porcelain block” white.

Smile Club Veneers:

• Pressed and layered from lithium disilicate glass ceramic.
• Built-in translucency, warmth, and internal color depth.
• Detailed with halo, mamelons, and fine surface texture.
• Natural vitality and enamel-like realism under any light.

While various techniques serve different clinical situations, we specialize in pressed lithium disilicate for cases where enhanced optics and durability are desired. Individual results may vary based on case selection and clinical technique.

Case Requirements

For optimal esthetic consistency, we accept veneer cases starting at 6 units minimum.

Why 6 Units Minimum?

  • Covers the complete anterior esthetic zone (canine to canine).
  • Avoids the significant challenges of matching single or paired veneers to natural teeth.
  • Ensures consistent shade, translucency, and surface texture across the smile.
  • Eliminates visible transitions between treated and untreated teeth.

Why Doctors & Patients Often Choose 10 Units:

      • Addresses the buccal corridor for a complete smile appearance.
      • Many patients who start with 6 units later want the remaining 4 to complete the look.
      • Provides optimal facial symmetry and proportion balance.
      • Creates seamless integration across the entire visible smile.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Are pressed lithium disilicate veneers more lifelike?

Absolutely. The pressing process allows optical depth and incisal translucency to develop within the ceramic matrix itself. Combined with individual characterization, this produces superior light transmission properties compared to milled veneers that depend primarily on surface staining techniques.

      Do you accept digital scans?

We accept both digital files (STL/PLY) and traditional PVS impressions. Digital submissions should include the complete photo protocol and completed lab slip for optimal results.

      What’s your turnaround time?

Standard cases: 10-14 lab days after design approval. Complex cases requiring additional characterization may need more time. Rush options available depending on schedule.

Why do you require 6 units minimum?

Individual or paired veneers present significant challenges in matching adjacent natural teeth for translucency, surface characterization, and color integration. By treating the complete anterior zone (6+ units), we ensure predictable esthetic outcomes without compromised color transitions.
